牡蛎 Ostreidae;oyster 软体动物门双壳纲牡蛎目牡蛎科的通称。又称、海蛎子。 世界性分布,中国已知 20 余种。贝壳不甚规则,两壳不等。左壳又称下壳,用以固着在外物上,较大而厚,深凹,表面放射肋清楚。右壳又称上壳,较小而平,牡蛎主要分布于热带和温带海洋,从潮间带至数十米深的范围都有分布 。牡蛎肉味鲜美,用煮肉的汤制成蚝油是极好的调味品。贝壳可烧石灰,亦可入药。是许多国家重要的人工养殖贝类。牡蛎的繁殖有幼生型和卵生型两种。 |
