磷 phosphorus 一种化学元素。化学符号P,原子序数15,原子量30.973762,属周期系ⅤA族。1669年德意志H.布兰德从人尿中提炼出磷,在暗处只发光而不燃烧,被称为“冷火”。磷的英文名称来自希腊文phōsphores,含义是“发光物”。磷在地壳中的含量为0.118%,由于磷在空气中极易被氧化,自然界不存在游离状态的磷,都是磷酸盐矿,近200种,具有工业价值的矿物是磷灰石,即Ca5(PO4)3F和Ca5(PO4)3Cl,它是由史前海洋底部沉积的古生物骨骼和古代鸟兽群栖处的鸟粪形成的次生沉积物。 磷有白磷、红磷、黑磷3种同素异形体。白磷又称黄磷,是白色至黄色的半透明固体,很软并像蜡,熔点为44.1℃,沸点280℃,密度1.82克/厘米3。白磷的性质不稳定,能自动地转变为稳定的红磷,常温下这种转变非常慢。白磷在空气中能被氧化为P4O10,温度超过50℃时能着火(自燃)。白磷必须保存在水中,防止被空气氧化。在没有空气的条件下,将白磷加热到250℃或者在光照下,都会转变成红磷。白磷不溶于水,可溶于二硫化碳。白磷有毒,人体吸入0.1克,就会中毒死亡。颗粒较细的白磷在空气中会自燃,所以白磷不能与皮肤接触。红磷是红色粉末,熔点59℃,性质比较稳定,加热到400℃以上才会着火。红磷不溶于水,也不溶于二硫化碳,它是无毒的。高压下白磷能转变为黑磷,它最稳定。磷的氧化态为-3、+1、+3、+4、+5。磷在空气不足时燃烧生成三氧化二磷(P4O6),空气充足时生成五氧化二磷(P4O10),它易潮解和溶于水,是实验室用有效的干燥剂。磷的氢化物由白磷与氢氧化钾溶液同煮制得,是一种剧毒的气体。磷的含氧酸有次磷酸(H3PO2)、亚磷酸(H3PO3)、连二磷酸(H4P2O6)、正磷酸(H3PO4)、焦磷酸(H4P2O7)、偏磷酸(HPO3)。五氧化二磷溶于水,生成正磷酸,它是一种中等强度的三元酸,用于食品、制糖、纺织工业。正磷酸脱水后可得焦磷酸,是一种无色针状晶体或玻璃状固体,它比正磷酸的酸性强,用作催化剂和制备磷酸酯。五氧化二磷加入适量水,可得偏磷酸,实际上它是多聚酸(HPO3)n,是一种硬而透明的玻璃体,可用于软化水,用作洗衣粉的助剂。 将磷酸钙、煤和砂子放在电弧炉中加热发生以下反应: 2Ca3(PO4)2+6SiO26CaSiO3+2P2O5 2P2O5+10C10CO+P4将生成的磷蒸气导入冷水中,即冷凝成白磷。绝大部分磷的化合物用作磷肥,磷还用于制造火柴、杀虫剂、磷酸、燃烧弹等。 |
