Three orders and five methods of non structural trap exploration are suggested based on the integrative research on the hydrocarbon generation, paleostructural evolution, seismic sequence stratigraphy, seismic and chemical hydrocarbon detection.

It is a powerful tool for researching basinal evolution history, sedimentology, detailed structural interpretation, lateral reservoir prediction, hydrocarbon detection, reservoir description and formation pressure prediction through integration with petroleum geology and seismic prospecting data acquisition/processing/interpretation.

These experiment results are very encouraging, especially in hydrocarbon detecting and imaging of the seismic obscure zone.

It is found that the multiwave data is very helpful to direct hydrocarbon detecting.
