A new version of a motorized lift to assist the elderly in going up and down stairs easily and safely is on display at the China National Science and Technology Week event taking place in Beijing.

Users simply lift the guardrails and press the button on the handle, allowing the lift to move steadily.

It's designed to stop automatically if there is an obstruction.

The National Science and Technology Week, which began on May 19th, is wrapping up this Sunday.
