Gardener Qiu Yamin created a real garden for her two daughters in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan province.
Qiu worked as a computer salesperson 10 years ago, but was still obsessed with planting flowers and wanted to have her own garden. Despite the failure of her first attempt, Qiu restarted her gardening business and stayed dedicated to plants as prospects for market growth improved.
At the end of 2016, Qiu rented more than 60 mu (4 hectares) of additional land in Chengdu to build a nursery garden. Near that site, she rebuilt a five-mu garden named after her two daughters, hoping they would grow to love flowers and nature.
Qiu also shares knowledge of plants, flowers and gardening with her nearly 1 million fans online, and she hoped her garden would bring happiness to tourists, many of whom visit her store on the e-commerce platform Taobao. In the eyes of Qiu, plants can convey emotions — ordinary, yet full of strength.
