Huawei Technologies Co said it will achieve a double-digit growth in revenue this year, with 30 percent increase already recorded in the first two months of 2019, despite the challenges it faces in overseas markets.
Guo Ping, Huawei's rotating chairman, said on Friday in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, that all of its three business groups, including carrier, consumer business group and enterprise business, achieved double-digit growth from January to February of 2018.
With telecom carriers stepping up push to invest in 5G and the global campaign to push forward digitalization, we will achieve double-digit growth this year," Guo said.
Despite challenges Huawei faced in carrier business last year, its telecom business group posted 294 billion yuan in revenue in 2018, remaining almost flat from last year. "The carrier business's performance remains in line with our expectations," Guo said.
