An exhibition focusing on the achievements of the Happiness Project, a charity program with a history of more than 20 years, was inaugurated at the Dachin Contemporary Art Center in Beijing's 798 Art Area on Mar 8, International Women's Day.

The exhibition called "For Mother's Smile: Unleash the Power within and Perceive the Greatness of Love", was jointly organized by China Population Welfare Foundation, the Organizing Committee of the Happiness Project and the Dachin art center.

The show features more than 50 photographs by Yu Quanxing, a photographer and a long-time volunteer of the charitable project.

The photographs were taken in the western part of country and record the changes in living conditions of a woman called Qin Chunju before and after the aid given by the project.

Among the pictures, 11 have been modified into a dynamic graph with new media technologies to give viewers an immersive experience.

On the second floor of the exhibition hall, a timeline graph looks back on the history of the project, including its charitable campaigns over the years.

The exhibition uses a combination of images, films, statistics, text, objects and other media, such as a giant arc-shaped projection wall.
