The seventh round of China-U.S. high-level economic and trade consultations started in Washington on Thursday.
President Xi Jinping's Special Envoy and Vice Premier Liu He, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin co-chaired the opening ceremony at the White House Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

The talks are scheduled to last through Friday. Working-level consultations started on Wednesday.
Liu He is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chief of the Chinese side of the China-U.S. comprehensive economic dialogue. |
