Indian actor Aamir Khan arrived in Beijing Monday afternoon, promoting the release of his new film 'Thugs of Hindostan'.

Khan mentioned the biggest challenge he encountered during the shooting.

"The main challenge for me was to get into the head of this guy, because he's someone who is very different from who I am. So to start thinking like him and start feeling like him was a big challenge for me."

In this action-adventure film, Khan plays a good-for-nothing, small-time thug.

It will open in Chinese cinemas on Friday.

Last month, the movie broke major box office records when it was released in India and other nations despite receiving negative reviews from critics.
