Tmall’s Singles Day festival: The best-sellers

The 10-year-old Tmall Singles Day festival created by Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, which falls on Nov 11, has reached a new high with 213.5 billion yuan ($30.67 billion) of sales and 1.04 billion express packages this year.

According to Jack Ma, co-founder and chairman of Alibaba, the Singles Day is not a sales day, but a thanksgiving day, on which manufacturers use their best price to thank consumers.
