China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) has started new drills. Soldiers took advantage of the cold weather to put up camps in the wild, set off on long marches and conduct skills competitions. More than 200 top soldiers of an air defense brigade from the 31st Group Army of the PLA launched a competition in 16 typical subjects. Video also shows thousands of officers and one hundred vehicles embarking on a march into the desert deep in Qilian mountain, in northwest Qinghai province.
