BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhuanet) -- 22 n lawmakers have arrived in the to make an on-site inspection of the joint Kaesong Industrial Park. The lawmakers briefed the media on the visit before crossing the military demarcation line on Wednesday morning.
They will visit four companies at Kaesong, meet businessmen, and inspect major infrastructure facilities, including water treatment plants, fire stations and electric power substations. It’s the first time that South Korean legislators have travelled to the Kaesong industrial zone during the parliamentary audit session.
Kaesong recently reopened after it was closed for five-month due to political conflicts.
