BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- On Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said that China welcomes Syrian government’s submission of a general plan for destroying its chemical weapons. She added that China will provide necessary support to the OPCW in the future to bring an end to tensions over Syria’s chemical weapons.

"China supports the OPCW’s positive role in the destruction and verification of Syria’s chemical weapons. China will actively participate to promote effective implementation of the OPCW Executive Council’s decision,” Hua Chunying said.
