BEIJING, Oct. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- Libya’s security spokesman says the country’s security forces have arrested two men allegedly involved in the killing of 16 soldiers in the capital, Tripoli.
A group of gunmen raided an army checkpoint on the road linking Tarhouna and Bani Walid on Saturday morning. A military official said the attackers rode vehicles mounted with machine guns. 16 soldiers were killed and several others were injured. According to sources from Tarhouna hospital, 13 soldiers were shot dead immediately, while 3 others died of serious injuries.
