UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- The president of the 68th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), John William Ashe, on Tuesday called for "decisive action and the highest levels of collaboration" by member states to work out the post-2015 development agenda.
Ashe, who assumed the UNGA presidency Tuesday, made the statement as he was opening the new session of the 193-member General Assembly. He is the permanent representative of Antigua and Barbuda to the United Nations. Full story

UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- The post-2015 development agenda will be the top priority of the new session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), which opens here Tuesday, and the international community should take action now to promote it, the new UNGA president has said.
The post-2015 development agenda is the theme of an annual UN debate, known as the General Debate, and the world should strive for the global development after 2015, the deadline for the universally accepted Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), John William Ashe, the president of the 68th session of the UNGA, told Xinhua in a recent interview.
