Baotu Spring is an artesian karst spring located in Jinan City, Shandong Province. As the symbol of the city, the spring was declared the "Number One Spring Under Heaven" by Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911). The Baotu Spring pool is fed by underground limestone water through three outlets, and up to 240,000 cubic meters of water flows from the spring every day.
