BEIJING, July 8 (Xinhuanet) -- Fleets and submarines are preparing for real combat scenarios, as joint naval drills between China and entered their third day near the Russian Far Eastern port of Vladivostok.
The eight-day manoeuvres will focus on anti-submarine and anti-ship operations, maritime air defense, escorts, and marine search and rescue operations.
During the first two days of the Joint Sea 2013 naval drill, the joint command assigned missions for both sides, aiming at improving communication and cooperation between fleets of China and Russia.
This year’s drill is being led by a joint command that comprises both Chinese and Russian officicals.
