BEIJING, April 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Apart from Sichuan province, other provinces have also dispatched rescue teams and relief materials to the affected region.

5,000 tents have been sent by Shaanxi province and will arrive later Sunday. The Blue Sky rescue team, a non-governmental organization with rich experience in earthquake rescue work, has headed to the region from Liaoning and Fujian provinces.

The province of Jiangsu has also asked 200 firefighters with 6 sniffer dogs to stand by. The municipality of Tianjin has set up 6 medical teams for the relief work in the disaster area. Rescue forces around the country are on their way.
