Hong Lei, Spokesman of Chinese Foreign Ministry, said, "China attaches great importance to developments on the Korean peninsular, where the situation is very complicated and sensitive. We hope all concerned parties will keep calm and act in a cautious and prudent way, and refrain from taking any action that could lead to the progressive escalation of tensions. We hope all related parties can work together for the peace and stability of the area."
