BEIJING, Jan. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei has called for calm and restraint from all concerned parties, after the DPRK announced its plans to conduct a higher-level nuclear test.
Hong Lei, spokesman of Chinese Foreign Ministry, said, "The situation on the Korean Peninsula is complex. China hopes all concerned parties will keep calm as well as refrain from taking any action that could lead to the progressive escalation of tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
