BEIJING, Nov. 3 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese marine surveillance authorities have countered claims in Japanese media that their job openings had proved unattractive to applicants in China’s civil servants recruitment.
According to the statement from the China Marine Surveillance, or CMS, all of the 14 ship crew positions of the East China Sea branch of the State Oceanic Administration, attracted applications at this year’s recruitment, but some had been disqualified in the preliminary review as the applicants lacked proper professional backgrounds.
The statement came after Japanese media reported that several positions on CMS ships operating in the East China Sea received no applications in this year’s civil servant examination process.
The CMS statement corrected such assertion by the Japanese media, quashing their suggestion that the situation reflected the Chinese people’s patriotism.
