BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhuanet) -- According to a n activist group, forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have killed at least 25 men after shelling a village in Hama province.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights, say most of the men were killed in the initial attack, but some were executed when troops stormed the village. It has not yet been possible to verify the claims.
The news comes after twin blasts wounded 4 people near the military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff offices in central Damascus. There is little sign clashes will halt any time soon. Last week alone, UNICEF reported that at least 1,600 people were killed in the deadliest seven days of the civil war.
