2012-05-16  Xinhua, May 16, 2012

Two excavators work at the accident site after a bridge collapsed in Pingjiang County of central China's Hunan Province, May 15, 2012. Three bodies were retrieved and three others remained missing Tuesday after the 120-meter-long Fangu Bridge collapsed around 8:50 a.m. on Sunday when one of its piles was hit by a sand dredge flushed downstream by floods, according to local authorities. An initial investigation showed that nine people fell into the Changjiang River after the collapse, and three have been rescued and are receiving treatment in a local hospital. [Xinhua]
