In a recent interview with #ChinaPerspectives, Huang Hanquan, head of the Chinese Academy of Macroeconomic Research, said Chinese policymakers should consider mulling a batch of new incremental policies. On the fiscal policy front, China can optimize the utilization of existing funds and explore ways to revitalize government assets. On the monetary policy front, there is room for further monetary policy easing, including reductions on the reserve requirement ratio and interest rate cuts, Huang said. Huang said he believes "it's pretty hopeful for China to achieve the annual growth target this year with a series of stimulus policies taking effect gradually". |
