A media group of 19 representatives from Central Asia and Turkiye and 19 reporters from China recently visited Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region to conduct joint interviews and reports about the development of the region's Ili Kazak autonomous prefecture.

The group arrived at the prefecture on Monday to begin a five-day visit. They were there to cover topics such as the construction of the core area of the Belt and Road Initiative and the region's high-quality development.

The journalists were captivated by Ili's unique natural scenery and distinct ethnic culture.

A journalist from Turkiye was so impressed by the prefecture's natural landscapes that she selected a postcard with a picture of a lavender field and sent it to her mother.

Other media representatives highlighted what they saw as scenes of harmonious coexistence among the various ethnic groups in Ili. They observed how people from varied backgrounds interacted and shared knowledge, creating a tapestry of ethnic unity and advancement.
