The exploration team of the "Canal Chic: Reviving China's Heritage" creative planning project (Jiangsu), consisting of painters, designers and cultural creative workers from both home and abroad, paid a visit to the China Grand Canal Museum in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, on Saturday.
The museum houses over 10,000 pieces (sets) of various cultural relics featured in 11 exhibition halls and is often referred to as an "encyclopedia" of the canal.
By incorporating immersive technology and interactive design, the exhibits vividly illustrate the historical journey of the Grand Canal from the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) to the present day.
The display also offers a thorough presentation of the canal culture along the entire waterway and throughout various historical eras.
The "Canal Chic: Reviving China's Heritage" creative planning project is organized by the China Daily Website, co-organized by the Yangzhou Municipal Committee's Cyberspace Administration, and supported by the China Internet Development Foundation.
