"You can go fast on your own, but only together can we develop and go further." Joseph Olivier Mendo'o, a young man from Cameroon, has formed a deep connection with China, traveling through over 50 rural villages and 70 schools over the past eight years, discovering the true essence of China-Africa cooperation.
"The first rice grown on the hybrid rice plants in Madagascar, the first mushroom grown in the mushroom house in Rwanda, and also the first Ugandan female train driver graduated from a Chinese railway academy ... All of these examples witness the history and achievements of China-Africa cooperation." At the same time, Zhou Yefan, the founder of the China-Africa Youth Federation, has observed through these vivid examples that only by developing countries working hand in hand can we promote national progress in a sustainable and peaceful manner.
With the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation approaching, Zhou and Mendo'o were guests on the program, calling on Chinese and African youth to break down barriers and move forward together. |
