Chongqing marshalling station upgrades power supply system

Workers carry out maintenance work at the Xinglongchang marshalling station in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, on June 25, 2024. The marshalling station, serving the China-Europe freight trains, handles nearly 18,000 vehicles daily. To enhance the capability of handling the increasing number of freight trains, the local railway department started, on Tuesday, a month-long project for the power upgrade and transformation of the marshalling station.
