A high-profile divorce case involving a man from Dexing city, Jiangxi province, who discovered that his three daughters were not biologically his and took his wife to court has reached its conclusion.

According to ThePaper.cn, the man has finalized his divorce from his wife.

In December 2007, Chen Zhixian married Yu Hua, who used a pseudonym to protect her privacy. In April 2022, three paternity test reports from a genetic testing company showed that the three children weren't biologically related to Chen.

Chen filed for divorce and monetary reimbursement "due to his wife's deception" in December. The case also involved child custody, property division, and compensation for emotional distress.

During the divorce trial, Chen Zhixian presented evidence to the court that Yu's fourth child, who was born in the leadup to the court hearing, was also not biologically related to him.

This week, according to ThePaper.cn, Chen and Yu have divorced through court mediation.

Yu has agreed to pay compensation and give up her claims to property, leaving with only personal belongings. Chen told the media that he plans to move on from this and start a new life.

The case was heard in the local court on Dec 28. However, according to media reports, neither party attended the two court sessions held that day.

This divorce case gained significant attention on social media last year. Chen's public Douyin account has over 616,000 followers. His 80 Douyin videos, one of which received over 750,000 likes, document the case's progression and evoke sympathy from viewers.

But now, he has set his Douyin account to be private, and the videos he posts are no longer publicly accessible.
