Olympic champion Ye Shiwen told China Daily online show On Your Marks that she would give herself full marks for 2023 after winning Asian Games gold upon her return to the pool from her studies at Tsinghua University. Ye shot to prominence at the age of 16 when she won two gold medals at the 2012 London Olympics, but her career hit choppy waters after the Games before she made impressive comeback this year. All those tough training sessions paid off for Ye – by her own estimation, almost 13,600 hours in the pool (training on land not included) since she was six years old!
