On July 18, the list of China's Top 100 Cities in 2023 was released in Shanghai, the ninth consecutive year that Wharton Economic Institute has compiled and released the list since 2015.

According to reports, the list takes the top 110 cities at the prefecture level and above in terms of GDP as the annual finalists, and sorts them according to their hard and soft economic indicators.

According to the list, the top 100 cities achieved a total regional GDP of 84.87 trillion yuan ($11.78 trillion) this year, accounting for 70.16 percent of total GDP, and the top 100 cities have 769 million permanent residents, accounting for 54.43 percent of the country's population.

10 Tianjin
