Henan artist gives new color to tri-colored glazed pottery

Zhang Yipeng, a craftsman, makes tri-colored glazed pottery, or sancai, in Nanshishan village of Luoyang city, Henan province.
Sancai is a Chinese porcelain characterized by a glaze with three intermingled colors which flourished in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
Zhang remains committed to traditional firing techniques while using new materials and being creative to make many characteristic creations that meet the young people's aesthetics to contribute to rural vitalization.
As an important village of sancai culture, Nanshishan village has more than 70 enterprises with over 2,000 engaged in the industry.
