Aside from a postponement in Shanghai due to COVID-19, the gaokao , also known as China's national college entrance exam, will be held on June 7 and 8 nationwide, amid sporadic COVID-19 infections in some places.
This year, a new high of 11.93 million students across the country will take the exam and among them at least 48,000 participants will be taking their exams in Beijing.
