Shanghai Jiushi Bus Group, one of major public transport companies in the city, posted site codes at 131 of its operating places, including 20 parking lots and 27 bus hubs, amid efforts to prepare for the resumption of work and production.

Shanghai Fabu, the municipal government's WeChat account, reported on Thursday that bus companies should prepare to help with the pandemic control situation by obtaining the knowledge of where their employees live; work on tasks like vehicle maintenance, site disinfection and fire inspection; and continuously optimize the bus restoration plan.

Special training in epidemic prevention for individuals and carriages should be carried out, the report said. Meanwhile, the stationed personnel should monitor their health and complete nucleic acid and antigen tests every day.

The disinfection and epidemic prevention work in key areas, such as offices, workshops and parking lots, should also be accomplished, according to the report.

Other efforts include daily maintenance and inspection of the vehicle as well as the disinfection and cleaning of vehicle components like air-conditioning filters and air outlet pipes to ensure that vehicles are safely put into operation after resumption.
