Items unveiled to mark 100-day countdown to China's National Games

XI'AN - China's 14th National Games organizers on Monday marked the 100-day countdown to the opening of the event by unveiling the items that will be used during the victory ceremonies and the torch relay.

The items included the medals, torch, memorial cup, drop light, cauldron and costumes that will be worn by those involved in the victory ceremonies.
Organizers said that each item was a fusion of China's traditional culture and sportsmanship.

Liu Guozhong, the secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, said at the unveiling ceremony held at Xi'an Olympic Sports Center that Shaanxi province is ready to host the National Games.

"All the venue constructions are finished, and some test competitions have been held successfully. In the next few days, we will focus on the rehearsals of opening and closing ceremonies, and try to operate the venues more smoothly," Liu said.
"Now we have 100 days," Liu added. "We should end the preparations as well as we began them."
