Fendouzhe (Striver), China's domestically developed deep-sea manned submersible, is delivered to the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering in Sanya, Hainan province, by its developer, the China Ship Scientific Research Center, on March 16, 2021. The submersible set a national record by diving to a depth of 10,909 meters in the Mariana Trench in a test in November.
