Joshua Wong Chi-fung, a leader during the 2014 Occupy movement in Hong Kong, was arrested on Friday morning.
Hong Kong police confirmed the arrest, but did not provide any further details.
A separatist political party of which Wong is a leader said in a social media post that Wong was arrested under three charges around 7:30 am on his way to the South Horizon metro station, in a southern part of Hong Kong.
The post said Wong was then sent to the Police Headquarters in Wan Chai. |
