The marking of the national college entrance exam, or gaokao, has begun across the county.
In Southwest China's Chongqing, the process kicked off June 10 at Southwest University.
The university on Wednesday held an open day for student and media representatives.
Marking is being conducted under tight security and strict rules, with all markers and staff members required to wear special ID cards when working, for example.
Staff members are not allowed carry laptops, cameras, phones and other commuication tools, and they are even banned from bringing water bottles into their work rooms.
A total of 186,000 students sat the exam in Chongqing this year, and over 740,000 papers will be marked before the results are released on June 24.
