摩西和以色列的众长老吩咐百姓说，你们要遵守我今日所吩咐的一切诫命。

"We have done great wrong against you, and have not kept the orders, the rules, and the decisions, which you gave to your servant Moses."
我们向你所行的甚是邪恶，没有遵守你借着仆人，摩西所吩咐的诫命，律例，典章。

And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.
留下这几族，为要试验以色列人，知道他们肯听从耶和华藉摩西吩咐他们列祖的诫命不肯。

"and you gave them word of your holy Sabbath, and gave them orders and rules and a law, by the hand of Moses your servant:"
又使他们知道你的安息圣日，并借你仆人摩西传给他们诫命，条例，律法。

"For the purpose of testing Israel by them, to see if they would give ear to the orders of the Lord, which he had given to their fathers by the hand of Moses."
留下这几族，为要试验以色列人，知道他们肯听从耶和华借摩西吩咐他们列祖的诫命不肯。

You made known to them your holy Sabbath and gave them commands, decrees and laws through your servant Moses.
14又使他们知道你的安息圣日，并借你仆人摩西传给他们诫命，条例，律法。

And You made known to them Your holy Sabbath And prescribed commandments and statutes and a law for them Through Moses Your servant.
14又使他们知道你的圣安息日，并藉你仆人摩西吩咐他们遵行诫命、律例和律法。

Soon after, he went back up Mount Sinai and was given a second set of the Ten Commandments.
