BEIJING, Aug. 11 (Xinhuanet) -- The United Nations says nearly 150 thousand refugees have registered in Syria’s four neighbouring countries since the conflict began. It includes around 50 thousand registered in Turkey, where more than 6 thousand arrived this week alone. The UN reported that as of Thursday night, there were around 46 thousand Syrian refugees registered in Jordan, around 37 thousand in Lebanon, and around 14 thousand in Iraq.
The organization said that a small number of Syrian refugees have also turned up in Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Evros.
