Field prototype tests about the rock embedded foundation have been carried out for a 750 kV electric power transmission line in Gansu Province.

During a 500 kV line embedded rock foundation full scale test in Hunan Province,foundation load bearing characteristics and failure mechanisms are analyzed based on test data.

2 of the Bridge is also designed as the largest diameter socketed foundation in the country.

The digging control explosion technology of rock-socketed foundation,surrounding protection,leakage -proof of foundation ditch after digging,treatment of foundation bottom,massive concrete grouting and temperature -controlled anti-crack measure are introduced,which provides reference for similar projects.

The analysis for application of rock foundation in mountain area;

Through analyzing and discussing some of tower rock foundations which is in common domestic are at present,according to surface features of poly-mountain and hill in Jiangxi,a new type rock foundation is designed and applied in connecting the Hubei to Jiangxi power network engineering of 500kV transmission line.

In connection with the characteristics of Yichang mountain area,the key method to reduce the cost and time of transmission lines construction and to make the operation convenient is applying large number of rock foundations.
