【性状】
本品为白色片。
【鉴别】
取本品的细粉适量（约相当于茶碱0.2g），加热水10ml，振摇，滤过， 滤液蒸干，提取物照茶碱项下的鉴别试验，显相同的反应。
【检查】
释放度 取本品，照释放度测定法（附录Ⅹ D），采用溶出度测定法（ 附录Ⅹ C）第二法装置，以水900ml 为溶剂，转速为每分钟50转，依法操作，但在2小时、 6小时与12小时分别取溶液3ml滤过，并即时在操作容器中补充水3ml；分别精密量取滤液各1ml， 各加水定量稀释成每1ml中约含7μg的溶液，照分光光度法（附录Ⅳ A），在272nm的波 长处分别测定吸收度；另精密称取茶碱对照品适量，加水溶解并定量稀释制成每1ml 中 约含7μg的溶液，同法测定吸收度，分别计算出每片在不同时间的溶出量。本品每片在 2小时、6小时与12小时的溶出量应分别相应为20％～40％、40％～65％和70％以上，均应符合规定。 其他 应符合片剂项下有关的各项规定（附录Ⅰ A）。
【含量测定】
取本品20片，精密称定，研细，精密称取适量（约相当于无水茶碱 0.3g），置研钵中，加热水50ml分次研磨，并移入锥形烧瓶中，放冷后，加硝酸银滴定液 (0.1mol/L)25ml、茜素磺酸钠指示剂8 滴，迅速用氢氧化钠滴定液(0.1mol/L)滴定，至 溶液显微红色。每1ml氢氧化钠滴定液(0.1mol/L)相当于18.02mg 的C7H8N4O2。
