Some Problems About Citation Style in Chinese Idiom Dictionary

This paper explores the commonly used translating methods and the frequency of their usage through the analysis of the examples of imagery idioms in A Chinese-English Dictionary of Chinese Idioms, which provides reference for translation study about imagery in idioms and the teaching and the practice about the translation from Chinese to English.

In this paper,a study is made to investigate the strategies of using Chinese dictionary by ethnic minority university students.

This research conducts surveys on the use of Chinese dictionary among the minority sophomores,juniors and seniors of Chinese majors and freshmen of non-Chinese majors in Kashgar Normal College.

Many dictionaries have not recorded the word "Cheng xiong dao di",The Ancient Chinese Language explains "Xiong" as " brother,call the respectful name between the same generation ","Di"as"the younger brother,calls of humility between same generation".
