聚丙烯酰胺简称PAM、结构式为[-CH2-CH(CONH2)]n-,分子量100~ 500万。聚丙烯酰胺主要有两种商品形式,一种是粉末状的,另一种是胶体,还有聚丙烯酰胺乳液(上海合成树脂研究所研制)。易溶于冷水,速度很慢,高分子量的聚丙烯酰胺当浓度超过10%以后.就会形成凝胶状结构。提高温度可以稍微促进溶解,但温度不得超过50℃,以防发生分子降解。难溶于有机溶剂。温度超过120 ℃时分解。中性。无毒。
用作增稠剂、絮凝剂、减阻剂,具有凝胶、沉降、补强等作用。贮存于阴凉、通风、干燥的库房内,防潮、避光、防热.存放时间不宜过长。
