This paper describes the production practice and the main technical and economic indicators of the removal of copper from the oxide cobalt copper ore leaching solution with extraction and electrowinning to substitute the iron filings cementation or the sodium carbonate neutral precipitation.

This paper describes the designed features and production practice of the process for reduction smelting of cobalt-copper oxide ore by electric furnace in Cobalt-copper Smelter of the Congo (Kinshasa).
