性质:电极过程的伟质有3种方式:即迁移、扩散和对流。迁移指在电场作用下正、负离子向相反方向移动。通过在电解质溶液中加入大量的“无关电解质”,电活性物质的迁移可被抑制。扩散指因浓差引起的物质传递,在电极过程中总是存在并在电极界面上形成扩散层。对流(convection)指因力学原因引起液体流动,从而产生的物质传递,可在电极界面上形成边界层。搅拌和升温可以使扩散层和边界层的厚度减薄,促进电化学反应。
