Content of petroleum ether extract(PEE) in flue-cured tobacco leaves of K326 and Yun 85 varieties,from eight growing areas,three stalk positions,and two kinds of color intensity respectively,were determined and effects of the latter three factors and their interactions on the content of PEE were analyzed.

石油醚是石油的低沸点馏分,为低级烷烃混合物。按沸点不同分为30-60 ℃、 60-90℃、90-120 ℃ 3类。无色透明易挥发液体,有类似乙醚气味.相对密度0.669,沸点60-90 ℃。溶于丙酮、醋酸乙酯、苯、氯仿、乙醚等,不溶于水。易燃。无毒。空气中最高容许浓度为0.03%。
