Based on the chief characteristics of Gansu Province,the author set up a comprehensive index system for synthetic evaluation on conditions of urban-rural interaction and conjunctional development of Gansu Province,with the guidance of following principles: scientific,exercisable,system-layer conjunctional,dynamic and comprehensive.

Our country is faced with the increasing number of surplus labors in countryside and the rise of urban unemploment,we question the ways of moderating the pressure of our urban-rural employment,that is to say:urban-rural interaction,inner absorption,exterior migration,governmental insurance.

The urban and rural interaction in economic transition can be explained as the interaction and blend of urban and rural resources.
