冬复奥运会的双料冠军在现代奥运会的历史上，·惟一一个兼获冬、夏季奥运会金牌的“两栖”运动员，是美国拳击和雪橇运动员伊根。1920年，作为一名业余拳击运动员，他参加了安特卫普第7届奥运会的拳击比赛，在79.38公斤级中战胜对手获得冠军。1932年，他又以雪橇运动员的身份参加了普莱西德湖第3届冬奥会，在四人有舵雪橇项目的比赛中，他与队友合作又获这一项目的金牌。据说，他并未在雪橇运动上下过很大功夫，只是“客串”雪橇运动的一位幸运儿。
