| 船蛆科 Teredinidae；teredo shipworm 软体动物门双壳纲海螂目的一科。世界性分布，中国有10余种。是有名的海洋穿孔动物。贝壳小，略呈球形。左、右两壳相等。前、后端开口。船蛆的身体极长，呈蠕虫形，仅前端小部分为贝壳包被，后面大部分是由一个薄石灰质管包被。足小，柱状。两水管极长，基部愈合，末端分离，其两侧各有一个石灰质的铠。铠的基部为一长柄，末端为铠片，是一种特殊的保护装置。船蛆从幼虫变态后即钻入木材，终生不再出来。船蛆繁殖力强，生长迅速。世界各地（尤其是温带和热带地区）的木质建筑因船蛆所遭受的损失极大。 |
